Keremeos, BC

"Healthy living, naturally"

While not technically in the Okanagan, the villages of Keremeos and neighbouring communities of Cawston and Hedley are worth exploring and not too far to travel to. Here you will find the largest organic farming community in Canada, with a gorgeous river you can float down in the summer and loads of outdoor adventure. These are small agricultural villages that dance to the beat of their own drum and have so much character, there are plenty of roadside fruit stand selling fresh, local products. If you're particularly adventurous and skilled in the back country you may want to check out the Cathedral Provincial Park nearby.
